Megalithic Sites of Carnac
Carnac and the surrounding Morbihan region contain the highest concentration of Neolithic monuments in the world. Dating from 4500 to 3300 BC, these sites include the famous alignments of Ménec and Kermario, which feature thousands of standing stones arranged in precise rows. Beyond the alignments, the landscape is dotted with massive burial tumuli, passage graves, and solitary menhirs like the 6.5-meter Géant du Manio, offering a comprehensive look at prehistoric architecture and burial customs.
