Chania's religious architecture reflects a complex history under Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman rule. The city center features the 19th-century Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the 17th-century Yiali Tzami, the oldest Ottoman building on Crete. Monastery Katholiko
