Pisac Essentials

Inca Citadel

Písac or Pisac is a Peruvian town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is situated on the Vilcanota River.

Intihuatana

A ritual stone carved from solid rock, used by Inca astronomers to track the sun’s movement and determine the seasons. It serves as the religious center of the Pisac archaeological complex.

Pisaq

This extensive archaeological complex features semicircular agricultural terraces, military outposts, and religious structures. It demonstrates advanced Inca masonry and urban planning in the Sacred Valley.

A museum and shop dedicated to the history of Peruvian cacao. It offers workshops on the chocolate-making process, from bean to bar, alongside various cocoa-based products.
