Porto Venere’s religious heritage is anchored by the 12th-century Church of San Pietro, a Romanesque-Gothic structure built on a rocky promontory overlooking the Gulf of Poets. The collection includes the Romanesque Church of San Lorenzo, which houses the miraculous White Madonna painting, and the 15th-century Sanctuary of Nostra Signora delle Grazie, notable for its former Olivetan monastery.
