Archaeological and Heritage Sites
The Region of Murcia preserves a dense timeline of Mediterranean history, from the Paleolithic remains at Cueva Negra to the major Bronze Age El Argar settlements of La Bastida and La Almoloya. The collection also highlights later heritage, including the 18th-century Baroque Templete in Caravaca de la Cruz and the 20th-century coastal fortifications of Batería de Las Cenizas, featuring massive Vickers guns.
