This collection highlights the architectural legacy of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum and the Byzantine Empire on Alanya’s rocky peninsula. The 13th-century Alanya Castle features 6.5 kilometers of defensive walls and 140 bastions, enclosing the inner citadel and the octagonal Red Tower at the harbor.
