Adana’s religious landscape is defined by the monumental Sabancı Merkez Camii, the second largest mosque in Turkey, noted for its six minarets and classic Ottoman architecture. The region also preserves traces of its diverse past through the ruins of Armenian Christian sites, including the Akner Monastery and the Saint James monastery at Hajën, both significant remnants of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia. Rural mosques in Avcılar and Isırganlı further illustrate the local spiritual traditions within the province.
