Angra dos Reis comprises 365 islands and over 2,000 beaches along Brazil's Costa Verde. This selection highlights the historic 18th-century colonial architecture of the city center, including the Igreja Matriz and Convento do Carmo. On Ilha Grande, the list covers the white sands of Lopes Mendes, the snorkeling lagoons of Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Verde, and the site of the former Candido Mendes prison at Praia de Dois Rios.

Lopes Mendes Beach, Ilha Grande

A three-kilometer stretch of fine white sand and shallow turquoise waters on Ilha Grande’s oceanic side. It is accessible via a forest trail from Vila do Abraão or by boat to Pouso followed by a short walk.

Dentista's Beach

Located on Gipoia Island, this beach is known for its transparent waters and serves as a major gathering point for yachts and motorboats, with floating bars delivering refreshments directly to vessels.

Praia Secreta

A small, secluded inlet located near the Angra dos Reis nuclear power plant. It features calm, clear waters and is often less crowded due to its hidden access point.
