Bohemian Switzerland National Park Essentials

Bohemian Switzerland National Park features the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe, Pravčická brána, alongside the Kamenice River's deep canyons. The landscape is defined by the Jetřichovice rock formations, offering elevated viewpoints from Mariina skála and Vilemínina stěna. Historic sites include the ruins of 14th-century rock castles Šaunštejn and Falkenštejn, and the 16th-century Dolský Mlýn. Pravčice Gate

The Pravčická brána is a narrow rock formation in Bohemian Switzerland in the Czech Republic, approx. 3 km northeast of Hřensko.

Edmundova a Divoká soutěska

Deep sandstone canyons on the Kamenice River accessible via man-powered boat trips. The gorges feature steep rock walls reaching heights of up to 150 meters.

Mariina skála

A 428-meter-high sandstone peak near Jetřichovice featuring a wooden observation pavilion. It provides panoramic views of the national park’s forest canopy and rock massifs.

Dolský Mlýn

Ruins of a three-wheel water mill dating back to 1515, located at the confluence of the Kamenice and Jetřichovická Bělá rivers. It is a preserved example of local technical architecture.

Vilemínina stěna

A sandstone rock formation rising 439 meters above sea level. Named after Princess Wilhelmine Kinsky, it offers views of the neighboring Mariina skála and the village of Jetřichovice.

Šaunštejn

Remains of a 14th-century rock castle built on a sandstone massif. Originally a guard station for the Old Bohemian Road, it features rock-cut chambers and cisterns.

Sokolí hnízdo

A chateau-style building constructed in 1881 by Prince Edmund Clary-Aldringen. Originally used as a guest house for the nobility, it now houses a restaurant and a museum.

Rudolfův kámen

A prominent sandstone peak 484 meters high, accessible via steep ladders and stone steps. The summit features a wooden shelter and offers 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape.

Hrad Falkenštejn

Ruins of a 14th-century rock castle carved into a sandstone cliff. The site includes a rock-cut cistern and remains of several rooms accessible via a modern metal staircase.

Bohemian Switzerland National Park
