Corvara in Badia Essentials

Corvara in Badia is a central hub in the Dolomites, dominated by the Sella Group and the Gardena Pass. The area features high-altitude landmarks like Rifugio Capanna Piz Fassa at 3,152 meters and the historic Col Alt, home to Italy's first chairlift. Hikers and climbers can access the technical Brigata Tridentina via ferrata, the proglacial Lech dl Dragon lake, and the Pisciadù waterfalls. The locality also hosts the high-elevation 9-hole Golf Club Alta Badia.

Rifugio Capanna Piz Fassa

Located at 3,152 meters on the summit of Piz Boè, the highest point of the Sella Group. This high-altitude hut offers panoramic views across the Dolomites and overnight accommodation during the summer months.

Rifugio Franz Kostner al Vallon

Situated at 2,536 meters in the Sella Group, this hut serves as a base for the Vallon via ferrata and the ascent to Piz Boè. It is reached via the Boè cable car and Vallon chairlift.

Via Ferrata Brigata Tridentina

A classic via ferrata in the Sella massif, known for its suspension bridge and technical vertical sections. The route concludes near the Pisciadù lake and mountain hut.

Pisciadu Waterfalls

These waterfalls are located at the base of the Sella massif. A flat walking trail from Corvara or Colfosco leads to the base of the falls, which are fed by the Pisciadù lake.

Rifugio Col Alt

Located at 1,980 meters, this hut is the site of Italy's first chairlift, which opened in 1946. It is accessible via the Col Alt gondola from Corvara.

Utia Pisciadù - Pisciadù Hütte - Rifugio Franco Cavazza al Pisciadù

An alpine hut at 2,585 meters on the Sella Group, situated beside the Pisciadù lake. It is a primary destination for climbers completing the Tridentina via ferrata and hikers on the Alta Via 2.
