Edirne served as the capital of the Ottoman Empire before the fall of Constantinople, resulting in a dense concentration of imperial architecture. This collection highlights Mimar Sinan’s UNESCO-listed Selimiye Mosque and the 15th-century Üç Şerefeli and Old Mosques. It also features the Grand Synagogue of Edirne, the largest in the Balkans, alongside the city’s historic covered bazaars and museums dedicated to regional archaeology and the military history of the Balkan Wars.
