Fribourg
Fribourg is a medieval town above a deep bend of the Sarine river. The old town has steep lanes, stone bridges and a large Gothic cathedral. It lies on the border between the French and German parts of Switzerland, and both languages are spoken.
The town is also a university town, so it feels young. It suits a day or a night.
