Natural Wonders of Golden Bay

Golden Bay features diverse geological landmarks, including Te Waikoropupū Springs, which hold some of the world's clearest freshwater. The northern tip is defined by Farewell Spit, a 26-kilometre sand spit and bird sanctuary, and the rugged cliffs of Cape Farewell. Inland, the region contains the 176-metre deep Harwoods Hole sinkhole, the limestone formations of Rawhiti Cave, and Wainui Falls. Coastal highlights include the Archway Islands at Wharariki Beach and the golden sands of Awaroa Beach.

Te Waikoropupū Springs, also known as Pupu Springs and Waikaremumu Springs, are located in Golden Bay, in New Zealand's South Island.

Wharariki Beach
