Best of Jiuzhaigou in Zhangzha

Wu hua hai

Shallow lake with a bed of calcified fallen trees visible through clear water. High calcium carbonate levels and algae create shifting hues of turquoise, yellow, and green.

Nuorilang Waterfall

A 270-meter-wide calcified waterfall located at the junction of the park's three main valleys. It is one of the broadest highland waterfalls in China.

Colorful Pond

Located in the Zechawa Valley, this is the park's smallest lake. It maintains an intense blue color year-round and rarely freezes due to underground water sources.

At over 3,000 meters elevation, this is the park’s largest and deepest lake. It lacks a surface outlet, relying on snowmelt and underground seepage to regulate water levels.
