Coastal Escapes

Luzon’s coastline encompasses diverse marine environments, from the karst limestone formations of Palawan to the deep-water harbor of Subic Bay. In El Nido and Coron, the lagoons of Cadlao and Twin Lagoon offer turquoise waters sheltered by jagged cliffs and unique thermoclines. Puerto Galera’s White Beach and Sabang Beach provide access to the Verde Island Passage, a global center of shorefish biodiversity. Further south in Honda Bay, Starfish Island is characterized by shallow sandbars and a high population of Protoreaster nodosus, while Subic Bay serves as a hub for wreck diving.

Cadlao Lagoon

Scenic natural lagoon characterized by clear, Gatorade-blue water and towering limestone cliffs. It provides a tranquil environment for kayaking and swimming away from more crowded tour routes.

Twin Lagoon

Two bodies of water separated by a limestone wall, accessible through a narrow underwater crevice at low tide or a wooden ladder at high tide. The lagoons feature a mix of salt and fresh water, creating distinct temperature layers.

White Beach

Puerto Galera, officially the Municipality of Puerto Galera, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.

CYC Beach

A public beach in Coron characterized by white sand and a perimeter of mangrove trees. It features shallow, clear waters and a sandy bottom, and is one of the few islands in the area without an entrance fee.

Starfish Island

Located in Puerto Princesa's Honda Bay, this low-lying sandbar is named for the high concentration of chocolate chip starfish found in its shallows. The area features clear visibility for snorkeling and basic thatched huts.
