Mae Hong Son’s religious landscape is defined by deep Shan and Burmese influences. This collection features hilltop landmarks like Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, offering views over the mist-shrouded valley, and Wat Tam Wua, a global center for forest meditation. Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu

Perched on a hill overlooking Mae Hong Son, this temple features two white Burmese-style chedis built in 1860 and 1874. It houses the ashes of Phra Moggalana, one of the Buddha's chief disciples.

Wat Tam Wua Forest Monastery
