Marsa Alam offers a distinct alternative to busier Red Sea hubs, characterized by the sprawling Wadi El Gemal National Park and world-class diving sites. The region is a primary habitat for rare dugongs and green sea turtles, particularly in Marsa Mares and Hermes Bay. Beyond the coast, the Eastern Desert holds the historic emerald mines of Sikait and the remote Shrine of Imam Shadhili. Marsa Mares Bay
