The Province of Isernia preserves Italy’s ancient heritage through the Samnite ruins of Pietrabbondante and the world’s oldest bell-making tradition at Agnone’s Pontificia Fonderia Marinelli. This rugged landscape features the Neo-Gothic Santuario dell'Addolorata and the 8th-century Benedictine monastery of San Vincenzo al Volturno.
