Desert Wonders
This collection highlights the geological landmarks of the remote Murzuq District in the Libyan Sahara. The centerpiece is Waw an Namus, a volcanic caldera surrounded by a 10-kilometer field of black basaltic ash and containing three distinct salt lakes.
