Ledenoto ezero

Situated at 2,709 meters, this is the highest glacial lake in the Balkans. It is located directly below Musala peak and remains covered in ice for up to nine months of the year.

Alekovo ezero

Glacial lake located at an altitude of 2,587 meters in the Musala subrange. It is named after Aleko Konstantinov, a prominent Bulgarian writer and the founder of the country's organized mountaineering movement.

Strasnoto ezero

High-altitude lake at 2,465 meters, enclosed by the jagged granite peaks of Kupenite and Lovnitsa. A stone mountain shelter, built in the 1950s, is located on its northern shore.
