Rhodope Mountain Huts
This collection features essential mountain shelters and alpine huts distributed across the Western and Central Rhodopes. These stone and wooden lodges serve as vital base camps for summiting Golyam Perelik, the range's highest peak, and exploring natural phenomena like the Wonderful Bridges and Chairski Lakes. Many are located along the E8 European long-distance path, offering basic dormitory accommodation and traditional Bulgarian mountain cuisine in remote forest settings.
Staria Cark
A basic mountain shelter located in the northwestern Rhodopes, often used as a rest point for hikers transitioning from the Rila Mountains.
Perelik hut
Situated at 1,960 meters, this is the highest hut in the Rhodope Mountains, located just below the summit of Golyam Perelik.
H.Cudni mostove
Located in the Erkyupriya River valley, this hut provides immediate access to the 'Wonderful Bridges' natural rock arches.
Hiza Skalni mostove

H.Cairski ezera
Located in the protected Chairite area, famous for its seven landslide-formed lakes and high-altitude marshy meadows.
H.Lednicata
Named after the nearby Lednicata cave, this hut is a key stop for hikers exploring the karst landscape of the Shiroka Laka region.
H.Persenk
A two-story stone building on the slope of Mount Persenk, providing access to the well-preserved Roman road and the Wonderful Bridges.
H.Svoboda
Located at 1,810 meters near the Svoboda peak, known for its historical sanctuary and panoramic views of the Central Rhodopes.
