Panoramic viewpoints in Toledo

Toledo’s dramatic landscape is best appreciated from its historic bridges and elevated lookouts. The Mirador del Valle offers a classic panorama of the city's Alcázar and Cathedral encircled by the Tagus River. The medieval Puente de San Martín and the Roman-origin Puente de Alcántara provide vantage points over the river's rocky gorge. Nearby, the Torreón del Puente de San Martín overlooks a riverside park, while the Nuevo Puente de Alcántara serves as a contemporary link for vehicle traffic adjacent to the ancient fortifications.
