Historic sites in Vieste

Vieste's historical landscape is defined by its strategic coastal defenses and ancient settlements. The 13th-century Castello Svevo, commissioned by Frederick II, stands as a central fortress overlooking the Adriatic. Along the coastline, a series of 16th-century watchtowers, including Torre San Felice and Torre Portogreco, were built to signal Saracen invasions.
