This tiny cemetery, dating back to the 19th century, is a resting place for both French and foreign composers, painters, architects and other artists. See graves of Edgar Degas, Émile Zola (his body was moved elsewhere, but his original family grave is still here) and Jacques Offenbach.
The cemetery itself has a garden-like feel and a sacred atmosphere. Most of the people that found their final rest here were very influential during their lives, even if they were not artists.
To access the cemetery, appropriate clothes must be worn. You can get here by metro, station La Fourche (line 13) or Place de Clichy (lines 2 and 13).
Free admission.
