Rua Augusta

Rua Augusta is a bustling pedestrian avenue located in the heart of Lisbon. It's one of the most popular streets in the city, because of its advantageous location, beautiful buildings and the abundance of various small shops and stores. You will find anything a tourist could need here - whether it's a good place to have a lunch, buy souvenirs or get some drinks.

Since it's always crammed with people, you can expect many street musicians, artists and vendors to be here, too.

Getting here is not difficult - the street is surrounded by three metro stations - Terreiro do Paço (blue line), Baixa-Chiado (blue and green lines), Rossio (green line), and numerous bus stops.
