The museum is dedicated to a renowned shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo. Ferragamo emigrated to the United States and ended up in Hollywood where he worked with many stars in the 1920s. After that, he returned to his home country and founded a company selling unique handmade shoes and other luxury goods.
The museum contains clothes, accessories, shoes, advertising materials, and other valuable items. It's housed in a large Gothic palace which was purchased by Ferragamo in the 1930s.
