Gythio serves as the historic port of Sparta, characterized by its neoclassical waterfront and the islet of Kranae. Shipwreck Dimitrios
A 67-meter cargo ship abandoned on Valtaki Beach since 1981. The rusted hull is easily accessible from the shore and has become a landmark of the Laconian coast.
