Denali Camping & RV Sites

This collection features established campgrounds and RV sites situated along the Denali Park Road and near the park entrance. Options range from full-hookup facilities at Denali Rainbow Village to remote, tent-only sites at Wonder Lake at Mile 85. Several locations, such as Teklanika and Savage River, provide direct access to the Alaska Range and glacial rivers. Note that private vehicle access is restricted beyond Mile 15, requiring campers at interior sites to utilize the park's dedicated camper bus system.

A

Savage Campground

Located at Mile 13 of the Park Road, this is the furthest point accessible by private vehicle. It offers 32 sites for tents and RVs near the Savage River and several hiking trailheads.

Denali Rainbow Village

Situated just north of the park entrance, this site provides full RV hookups, a motel, and proximity to the shops and restaurants of the Denali Canyon area.

Wonder Lake Campground

A tent-only campground at Mile 85, providing 28 sites. It is the closest established campground to Denali and is positioned near the shores of Wonder Lake.

Toklat Road Camp

A facility at Mile 53 of the Park Road that serves as a rest stop and transit hub near the Toklat River braided riverbed.

Igloo Campground

A small, tent-only campground at Mile 34 with seven sites. It is accessible only by the park's shuttle or camper bus system and sits near the base of Igloo Mountain.

Teklanika Campground

Located at Mile 29, this campground accommodates tents and RVs. It requires a minimum three-night stay for visitors driving private vehicles to minimize traffic on the restricted Park Road.

Basecamp

A seasonal mountaineering camp located on the Kahiltna Glacier. It serves as the primary starting point for climbers attempting to summit Denali via the West Buttress route.
