Lloret de Mar’s historical sites range from 3rd-century BC Iberian settlements to 20th-century neo-Gothic landmarks. The 11th-century Castell de Sant Joan provides a view of the coastline from its restored medieval tower, while the archaeological sites at Puig de Castellet and Turó Rodó showcase the defensive architecture of the ancient Indigetes tribe.
