Loška Dolina is a karst valley defined by the well-preserved 13th-century Snežnik Castle and the subterranean lakes of Križna Cave, a site famous for cave bear skeletal remains. The region features the medieval ruins of Lož Castle and the Hallerstein manor in Koča vas. High-altitude landmarks include the alpine hut on Veliki Snežnik and the panoramic viewpoint of Križna gora.
