Scenic Peaks of Mokpo
Mokpo’s topography is defined by its rugged granite peaks and coastal ridges, offering vantage points over the Dadohaehaesang National Park and the busy Mokpo Port. This collection includes the iconic Yudalsan, famous for its historic pavilions and rock formations, alongside the scenic trails of Gohado Island. Yudal Mountain
A 228-meter granite peak featuring five pavilions and jagged rock formations. It offers panoramic views of the city, the harbor, and the surrounding islands of the Dadohae Archipelago.
Limam
Located in the eastern Gatbawi district, this 121-meter hill features established hiking trails overlooking the Yeongsan River and the Mokpo Culture and Arts Center.
Nojeogbong
A historic rock peak where General Yi Sun-shin used straw mats to camouflage the hill as a massive rice stack to deceive Japanese invaders during the Imjin War.
Yangeulsan
A centrally located hill featuring a forest park, an artificial lake, and accessible walking paths that provide views of the Mokpo city center.
Geumseongsan
