Beskydy Mountain Peaks

This collection features the major summits and lookout points of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. It includes Lysá hora, the range's highest peak at 1,323 meters, and Radhošť, known for its pagan history and the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius. The list covers diverse terrain, from the rugged massifs of Smrk and Malý Smrk to the Mionší National Nature Reserve, one of the largest primeval forests in the Czech Republic. Visitors can also find modern observation points like the Stezka Valaška treetop walkway near Pustevny.

Radhošť

Radhošť is a mountain in the Czech Republic. It has an elevation of 1,129 metres and belongs to the Moravian-Silesian Beskids mountain range.

Smrk

Smrk is a massif and a mountain in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids range in the Czech Republic.

Stezka Valaška

Treetop walkway at Pustevny featuring a 600-meter path, a glass skywalk, and a 150-meter long suspension bridge. It provides panoramic views of the Beskids and the Jeseníky Mountains.

Velký Lipový

A 999-meter peak on the Ropice ridge between the villages of Řeka and Morávka. The summit is located on the boundary of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area.

Cyrilka

A reconstructed wooden lookout tower from 1893 located near Pustevny. It offers a direct view of the Radhošť ridge and the town of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm.

Kozubová

is a 981-metre-high mountain in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids mountain range, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic.

Ondřejník

An isolated mountain ridge situated between the Ostravice and Ondřejnice valleys. Its highest point, Skalka, provides wide views of the surrounding Beskydy peaks.

Velký Polom / Veľký Polom

A 1,067-meter peak on the Czech-Slovak border. The summit area is part of a nature reserve protecting original spruce-beech forest stands.

Ostrý

A 1,044-meter mountain in the Třinec region. It is home to a traditional mountain hut and serves as a major hiking hub for the eastern Beskids.

Malchor

A 1,211-meter secondary peak on the northern slope of Lysá hora. It is a key waypoint on the hiking trails leading to the highest summit of the range.

Ropice

A 1,083-meter peak featuring a stone sculpture of the Slavic god Perun. The surrounding area is protected as a nature reserve for its forest ecosystems.

Malý Smrk

A 1,174-meter peak forming part of the Smrk massif. It is located within a nature reserve and offers a quieter alternative to the more frequented main summit.

Observation Tower

An 18-meter stone observation tower built as part of the Chapel of Saint Anne. Located at an altitude of 982 meters, it offers views of the Polish and Slovak mountains.

Mionší

One of the largest primeval forests in the Czech Republic, protecting ancient fir and beech trees. The area is accessible via a 7-kilometer educational loop trail open from June to September.
