Sacred Sites & Historic Churches

This collection highlights the religious and cultural architecture of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. It features the highest chapel in the Czech Republic on Radhošť, the unique wooden church on the Gruň ridge, and an Orthodox church in Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem transported from Subcarpathian Rus. sv. Cyril a Metoděj (kaple)

Located on the summit of Radhošť, this Byzantine-style stone chapel was built in 1898. It stands as the highest religious building in the Czech Republic and features a mosaic of the patron saints.

Panna Marie Pomocná

A late 19th-century wooden church situated on the Gruň ridge. Built between 1887 and 1891, it is a significant example of regional folk architecture serving remote mountain settlements.

Kostel svatého Prokopa a svaté Barbory

Known as the "Russian Church," this wooden structure was transported to Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem from Subcarpathian Rus in 1931. It features distinct Eastern Orthodox architectural elements.

kaple Cyrilka

A small wooden chapel at Pustevny designed in the traditional Wallachian style. It serves as a spiritual landmark near the iconic Jurkovič-designed mountain buildings.

Holy Trinity Church

Roman Catholic parish church in Malenovice, serving as a spiritual center at the foot of Lysá hora.

Kostel sv. Jindřicha

A Neo-Gothic brick church in Staré Hamry built between 1863 and 1865 to replace an earlier wooden structure.
