Picnic sites and fireplaces in Nuuksio National Park

Nuuksio National Park features a network of designated rest spots maintained by Metsähallitus. This collection includes both open-air firepits and roofed cooking shelters (keittokatos) equipped with fixed fireplaces and wood sheds. These sites are strategically positioned along major trails like the Haukkankierros and Korpinkierros, often overlooking lakes such as Mustalampi and Kattilajärvi. While open firepits are restricted during forest fire warnings, roofed shelters generally allow for cooking year-round, providing essential infrastructure for hikers across the park's rugged terrain.
