Best beaches in Paraty

Paraty’s coastline is defined by the Serra do Mar mountains meeting the Atlantic, creating a diverse landscape of over 60 beaches. This selection ranges from the surfing waves of Trindade and the therapeutic mud of Jabaquara to the secluded coves of the Juatinga Peninsula. Many locations, such as Praia do Sono and Cachadaço, are accessible only by boat or forest trails, preserving their natural state. The area also features the Saco do Mamanguá, Brazil’s only tropical fjord, and numerous islands ideal for snorkeling.
