Majestic Waterfalls

Paraty’s landscape within the Serra da Bocaina National Park is home to a diverse collection of waterfalls, many situated along the historic 18th-century Gold Trail. These sites feature unique geological formations, such as the natural granite slide at Cachoeira do Tobogã and the semi-submerged cave at Pedra que Engole. Visitors will find natural swimming pools, historical ruins of early hydroelectric plants, and access points through Pataxó indigenous territories.

Cachoeira do Tobogã - Cachoeira da Penha

A large, smooth granite rock face that serves as a natural water slide into a shallow pool. It is located near the historic Penha Church and the Gold Trail.

Cachoeira do Tobogã - Cachoeira da Penha
