Forte Ardietti

An exceptionally well-preserved Austrian fort built between 1853 and 1861. Part of the Quadrilateral defense system, it features original masonry, gunpowder magazines, and defensive moats used to secure the southern frontier.

A mid-19th-century Austrian fortification designed to reinforce the western defensive line. It represents typical Habsburg military engineering, built to support the older Salvi battery in protecting the road to Brescia.
