Portland’s park system offers diverse landscapes from the historic heights of Fort Sumner Park to the waterfront expanse of the Eastern Promenade. Lincoln Park, established in 1866 as a firebreak, features a notable Victorian fountain. The Bayside and Back Cove trails provide dedicated paths for walking and cycling, connecting urban neighborhoods with views of Casco Bay and the city skyline. Fort Sumner Park

High-elevation park on Munjoy Hill offering panoramic views of the Portland skyline and Casco Bay. It occupies the former site of a late 18th-century fortification.

68-acre park designed by the Olmsted Brothers in 1905. It features public beaches, boat launches, and trails overlooking Casco Bay and Fort Gorges.
