Senja Essentials

Senja showcases Norway’s diverse geography, featuring the jagged Okshornan rock formations at Tungeneset and the 639-meter sharp peak of Segla. The island's landscape includes the white sands of Ersfjord beach, the 134-square-kilometer Ånderdalen National Park, and the traditional fishing community of Husøy. Architectural highlights along the Norwegian Scenic Route include the cantilevered Bergsbotn viewing platform and the gold-plated service facility at Ersfjord.

Segla

A prominent 639-meter peak rising vertically from the Øyfjorden. The hiking trail begins in the village of Fjordgård and provides views of the Mefjorden and surrounding mountain ranges.

Tungeneset

A rest area on the Norwegian Scenic Route featuring a wooden walkway over coastal rocks. It offers a direct view of the Okshornan mountain range, commonly referred to as the 'Devil's Teeth'.

Ersfjord beach

A white sand beach located at the head of Ersfjorden, surrounded by steep mountains. It is a known location for viewing the Midnight Sun and the Northern Lights.
