Son Tra Peninsula Essentials

The Son Tra Peninsula, or Monkey Mountain, is a 4,439-hectare nature reserve overlooking Da Nang. It features the 67-meter tall Lady Buddha statue at Linh Ung Pagoda and the 800-year-old Heritage Banyan Tree. The area is the primary habitat for the endangered red-shanked douc langur. Key landmarks include the historic 1902 Tien Sa Lighthouse, the chess-themed Ban Co Peak, and secluded beaches like Bai Bac. A coastal road connects these sites, passing through dense jungle and traditional fishing communities.

Son Tra Nature Gems

The Son Tra Peninsula features a diverse landscape ranging from the 700-meter summit of Monkey Mountain to the historic 1902 French-built Tien Sa Lighthouse. This selection includes Ban Co Peak, the peninsula's highest point marked by a stone chessboard statue, and coastal routes where wild macaques are frequently observed.
