The Gilão River is crossed by the Ponte Antiga, a seven-arched bridge reconstructed in the 17th century. Igreja da Misericórdia de Tavira
A 16th-century Renaissance church notable for its ornate carved portal and interior walls lined with 18th-century blue and white azulejo tiles illustrating the fourteen Works of Mercy.
Igreja de Santiago
A 13th-century church built on the site of a former mosque. It was significantly reconstructed following the 1755 earthquake and stands near the town’s castle walls.
