Třeboň Essentials

Třeboň is a historic town centered around a massive Renaissance chateau and a unique system of medieval fishponds. A 215-hectare fishpond established in the 16th century by Jakub Krčín. The 49th parallel north passes through its dam, and a 12-kilometer educational trail circles its perimeter, starting just south of the main square.

Built in the early 17th century, this western city gate is part of the town’s original fortification system. It connects the historic center with the suburbs leading toward České Budějovice.
