Best of Vienna

Meet the Vienna every first-time visitor hopes to see, on one unhurried walk through the historic centre. The tour begins at the Upper Belvedere, the Baroque palace on the hill, which you reach by tram D to the Schloss Belvedere stop. From there it descends past the Karlskirche and the Secession to the Vienna State Opera, passes the Albertina, crosses the Habsburg heart of the city at the Hofburg and the Imperial Crypt, and follows the Graben to finish beside St. Stephen's Cathedral. Nine stops, about four and a half kilometres.
