Redwood Camping & Backcountry

This collection features developed campgrounds and remote backcountry sites across Redwood National and State Parks. Developed sites like Jedediah Smith and Elk Prairie offer access to old-growth groves and wildlife viewing, while Gold Bluffs Beach provides coastal access near Fern Canyon. Gold Bluffs Beach Campground

Beachfront camping on the Pacific coast within Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Provides direct access to the Fern Canyon trail and the 10-mile-long Gold Bluffs Beach.

Elam Camp

Backcountry site along the Redwood Creek Trail for hikers and horse riders. Requires a permit and features a hitching post and non-potable water source.

Flint Ridge

Backcountry camp on the Coastal Trail near the Klamath River. Sites are set in a Douglas fir and redwood forest, accessible via a short hike from the trailhead.

Nickel Creek
