Designed in Art Nouveau style, this house used to be an umbrella shop in the 1880s. It is now attracting tourists by its embellished facade in form of delicate umbrella decorations. Note the elaborate Chinese dragon on the corner of the facade which originally served as an advertisement for the shop.
It is located on the La Rambla boulevard which is very popular among tourists. There are many cafés and restaurants around and also many other imposing sights (e.g. the Virreina Palace or the pavement mosaic by Joan Miró). So, if you walk down this iconic street, be sure to notice the House of Umbrellas.
