This large market is a gourmet's heaven. Specialized in all things edible, you can find anything your heart and taste buds desire here among one of its 123 stalls, whether it is African or Japanese cuisine, seafood or just some Italian cheese. The market presents ample opportunities both for food shopping, but also for eating out. There is also a flea market here, which is open nearly every Saturday.
Originally called the "Ash Market", Naschmarkt has a long history. Three centuries ago, the place was already famous for the best fruit and vegetables in Vienna. Today, the market is a modern area, which has undergone an extensive reconstruction between 2010 and 2015.
The easiest way to get to the market is via public transport, as there is a U-Bahn exit right next to the market, called Kettenbruckengasse. It is served by line number 4. If you prefer to travel by car, there are also many paid underground garages in the area, but be ready for a relatively high fee and a longer walking distance to the market.
Gastronomy facilities are open until 11 pm.
Opening hours of individual stalls and shops may vary.
