If you are a fan of the Cubist painter Pablo Picasso, you should definitely visit this museum full of his drawings and paintings.
The museum is housed in five palaces dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries. Opened in 1963, it was the first museum dedicated to Picasso's work. The permanent collection comprises more than 3,500 artworks. Most of them were donated by Jaime Sabartés - former secretary and a friend of Picasso.
Please note that when the admission to the museum is free, there are long lines. Use the free cloakroom service for bags measuring over 30×30 cm and don't take photographs inside.
