Iconic Monuments & Memorials

Tirana’s history is etched into its public spaces through a diverse collection of monuments spanning the Ottoman, monarchist, and communist eras. This list features the 19th-century Clock Tower and the Kapllan Pasha Tomb alongside 20th-century installations like the Postbllok memorial, which includes a Cold War bunker and a segment of the Berlin Wall. Clock Tower

Built in 1822 by Haxhi Et'hem Bey, this 35-meter Ottoman-style tower features a spiral staircase of 90 steps. It serves as a primary symbol of Tirana.

Bunker

A small concrete bunker preserved as part of the Postbllok (Checkpoint) memorial, representing the thousands of defensive structures built during the communist regime of Enver Hoxha.
